The bluebells of Roeburndale have been beautiful this year. Any path on the east side of the river      
                                                  brings one into huge swathes of them:

                             Herons are often seen from the house as they hunt over the river

Nearby to Arnside and Silverdale is the famous RSPB sanctuary of Leighton Moss

Arnside Knot

You can park at Arnside Knot and walk right to the top which gives stunning views over the bay

Golf at Forrest Hills

This lovely building is Forrest Hills centre near Lancaster University. Apart from the fantastic design ,  "a building of the soul", reminiscent of Hobbiton , it  has a golf course and fishing lake.
